SINGLE SPRING MECHANICAL SEAL

FO1D

Type FO1 is a kind of unbalanced, Single-spring mechanical Seal. The spring plays double roles: compensations and torque transmission, and its swirl direction is related to the shaft rotation direction. The auxiliary Seal is an O ring made from either butadiene-cry lonitrile or fluorine. Butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber has a good ability to resist oil and aging, but less ability to resist acid. Fluorine rubber has a good performance to resist heat, corrosion, and aging, but at a higher cost. Both of these two types of rubbers are limited to resist the solvent.

Product Description

Structure Features:

There are 2 kinds of friction-resistant sub-materials and 8 material combinations in Type FO1 for selection, If the medium is at a condition of higher temperature and strong corrosion, V-type fluorine seals can be selected for the auxiliary seals and the metal structure material will be replaced by corrosion-resistant materials.

Operating Range:

Mediums: Oil, Water, Organic solvent or other weak corrosive solvent.

Pressure: ≤0.7Mpa

Temperature: -20℃~200℃

FAQ

  • Q: What industries does HQ support?

A: We deliver customized sealing solutions to diverse industrial sectors, including:
    ·Oil and Gas
    ·Refining
    ·Chemical and Petrochemical
    ·Water and Wastewater Treatment
    ·Pharmaceutical
    ·Power Generation
    ·Marine
Our products are designed to perform reliably in demanding environments across multiple industries.

  • Q: Do you offer custom sealing solutions?

A: HQ Seals provides custom sealing solutions customized for your working conditions. We manufacture seals according to:
    · Technical drawings
    · Physical samples
    · Special material & performance specifications
    · Non-standard sizes
We maintain close communication with clients to guarantee all finished products satisfy operational and environmental requirements.

  • Q: How can I choose the right mechanical seal for my use?

A: First, identify the optimal configuration (single or double seal) according to the process fluid. Then verify operating parameters — pressure, temperature and shaft speed — to select the appropriate seal type and materials. Lastly, confirm available installation dimensions, and opt for either a component or cartridge seal subject to customer requirements and relevant standards. Seal selection is normally carried out by qualified technicians.

  • Q: What types of after-sales services does HQ provide?

A: For mechanical seals that have been stored for a long period: we can grind the rotating and stationary rings, replace secondary sealing O-rings, conduct air tightness testing and issue the pressure test report.
We can provide on-site installation guidance service. For failed mechanical seals, we are able to deliver failure analysis reports.

  • Q: Can mechanical seals be repaired, or must they be replaced?

A: Yes, repairs are available. Depending on the damage condition of the mechanical seal, we classify the overhaul into Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 repair.
