Product Description

Structure Features:

A Carbon Ring Seal is a flow resistance-type mechanical seal that depends on the effect of seal gap flow resistance to limit medium leaks. It is mainly used for industrial equipment shaft seals such as draught fans, air blowers, compressors, and centrifuges. Its characteristics are simple structure, easy to install, works reliably, easy maintenance, need complicated lubricating and cooling system. It can dry run.

Seals consume lower power and a small heat. It cannot be barely affected by shaft vibration and traverse.

Application conditions:

Generally, it seals gas medium and can be injected with isolated gases

or spacer fluid for inflammable and explosive toxic gases.

Pressure should be higher than medium pressure ~51.0 bar. This

can achieve zero leaks in the medium.

We can choose a combination of a various form of sealing rings according to customers' requirements.

Operating Range:

Shaft Diameter: 40~ 340mm

Pressure: vacuum ~5bar

Temperature: -20~200(500)C°

Material:

Sealing Ring: Carbon

Metal parts: stainless steel(determined by working conditions)

O-Ring and gasket are chosen according to working conditions.

FAQ

  • Q: What industries does HQ support?

A: We deliver customized sealing solutions to diverse industrial sectors, including:
    ·Oil and Gas
    ·Refining
    ·Chemical and Petrochemical
    ·Water and Wastewater Treatment
    ·Pharmaceutical
    ·Power Generation
    ·Marine
Our products are designed to perform reliably in demanding environments across multiple industries.

  • Q: Do you offer custom sealing solutions?

A: HQ Seals provides custom sealing solutions customized for your working conditions. We manufacture seals according to:
    · Technical drawings
    · Physical samples
    · Special material & performance specifications
    · Non-standard sizes
We maintain close communication with clients to guarantee all finished products satisfy operational and environmental requirements.

  • Q: How can I choose the right mechanical seal for my use?

A: First, identify the optimal configuration (single or double seal) according to the process fluid. Then verify operating parameters — pressure, temperature and shaft speed — to select the appropriate seal type and materials. Lastly, confirm available installation dimensions, and opt for either a component or cartridge seal subject to customer requirements and relevant standards. Seal selection is normally carried out by qualified technicians.

  • Q: What types of after-sales services does HQ provide?

A: For mechanical seals that have been stored for a long period: we can grind the rotating and stationary rings, replace secondary sealing O-rings, conduct air tightness testing and issue the pressure test report.
We can provide on-site installation guidance service. For failed mechanical seals, we are able to deliver failure analysis reports.

  • Q: Can mechanical seals be repaired, or must they be replaced?

A: Yes, repairs are available. Depending on the damage condition of the mechanical seal, we classify the overhaul into Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 repair.
